Dr Hawraa Al-Naqshabandi

Dr Hawraa Al-Naqshabandi is a Breast Radiologist at Lumus Imaging, primarily based at Strathfield Private Hospital in Sydney.

Dr Al-Naqshabandi brings more than fifteen years of experience working as a radiologist across Australia and Iraq, with subspecialty expertise in breast imaging and interventional procedures. Before moving to Australia, she worked as a Breast Radiologist at a major oncology hospital in Baghdad. 

Dr Al-Naqshabandi subsequently completed a breast imaging fellowship at Macquarie University Hospital in Sydney and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) in 2026. She specialises in mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI, as well as image-guided biopsies, vacuum-assisted procedures and pre-operative localisation. Alongside breast imaging, Dr Al-Naqshabandi reports on general radiology cases and performs a range of interventional procedures.

Dr Al-Naqshabandi is passionate about breast cancer education, patient-centred care and training the next generation of radiologists in advanced breast imaging.
