About me
Dr Phillips is a Radiologist specialising in Paediatric Cardiac and Forensic Imaging based at the North West Private Hospital, Brisbane, QLD.
Dr Phillips completed his medical training at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom and radiology training with West Midlands Registrar Training, United Kingdom. Dr Phillips gained further experience with fellowships in Paediatric Cardiology at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, United Kingdom and Paediatric Radiology at the Mater Children’s Hospital, Brisbane, QLD.
Dr Phillips has previous experience working as a SMO Paediatric Radiology at Queensland Children’s Hospital, South Brisbane and Gold Coast University Hospital, Southport, QLD. He was also the former Director of Radiology at Mater Children’s Hospital, Brisbane for a period of 8 Years and spent three years as a Paediatric Registrar in the Northeast of England, prior to moving into Radiology.
Dr Phillips was also involved in setting up Queensland Cardiac Radiology services and established the Queensland’s Forensic Paediatric Imaging service at The Mater Children’s Hospital, Brisbane. He has previously held the RANZCR positions of BEO QLD for RANZCR and Chief Accreditation Officer. He currently holds the position of Deputy Chief Censor, Chief Examiner RANZCR and Faculty Councillor QLD.
Dr Phillips is a Senior Lecturer for the University of Queensland Medical school and is a regular speaker throughout Europe and Australia, most recently in Scandinavia.
Outside of Radiology Dr Phillips has an interest in Eastern European History, Crime fiction and passion for European Travel.
