Dr Tom Snow
Clinical Director Imaging, Interventional Radiologist
About me
After attending medical school in Bristol and Oxford, I completed my radiology training in Bristol, Brisbane and at the University of Toronto. I moved to Australia in 1997 to work at the Gold Coast Hospital.
In 2007, I became the Director of Radiology. From 2014 to 2016, I worked at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne before returning to Queensland to continue my radiology career. I am now a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist at St Vincent’s Northside in Brisbane. I am also the Clinical Director of Imaging for Healius and Chair of the Clinical Council, which advises the company on clinical matters.
Experience
Why I love what I do
Radiology is a crucial and active part of every hospital. We’re often at the centre of decision-making, and we have significant contact with patients, which I enjoy. Radiology is also where computers are most effectively integrated with medicine. With so many new imaging tools being introduced, this is an exciting time to be a doctor. I also love the flexibility of radiology, as it provides opportunities to work across Australia and internationally.
