About me
Dr Vivian Fernandes is a Nuclear Medicine Physician working in the Macarthur area of Sydney.
Dr Fernandes studied medicine at The University of Sydney, graduating with 1st Class honours. Dr Fernandes completed her physician’s training at Sydney Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital in Sydney, NSW. She gained further experience in Nuclear Medicine in the USA at Cedars Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles and Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.
Dr Fernandes has lived and worked in the Macarthur area for more than 25 years. She was the sole director of Camden Nuclear Medicine and Campbelltown Nuclear Medicine which are now part of Lumus Imaging.She has continued to work passionately enjoying and using her vast Consultant Nuclear and General Physician skills in her interpretation of the Nuclear Medicine functional imaging scans for patient diagnosis and management.In recent years she has built a comprehensive nuclear medicine gastroenterology motility service for the Macarthur area, working closely with Dr Vincent Ho. She also has an interest in functional brain imaging for conditions such as dementia.
She continues to work closely with Macarthur Cancer Services Centre at Campbelltown Hospital since she has always had a passion for Nuclear medicine and Oncology.
